Chair of Mentorship

Job Description

This is a “working board” Chair position. This position may include Board of Directorship
governance and oversight as well as become hands-on with programming and service delivery.
Our Board of Directors meet once a month for 1hour.

  • Must complete a Volunteer Application & Background Information Form.
  • Create and tailor your own volunteer schedule that is convenient with your work and personal life.
  • Volunteer duration; 1-2 years.
  • Recruit 1-2 Assistants to spearhead and ensure that RMU (RoleModels University) has a strong and
    growing mentorship program.
  • Must be able to ensure that each RMU student has a mentor according to our mentorship
    program: SEE MENTORSHIP on our homepage.
  • Online Mentoring: Create convenient mentorship opportunities for adults and teens to mentor
    RMU students by using Skype and FaceTime.
  • Ensure that all RMU Mentors (adults and teens alike) complete and are approved through our
    Volunteer application and Background Information process.
  • Ensure that our RMU Mentors (adults and teens alike) complete RoleModels University
    Mentorship training prior to RMU student assignments.
  • Ensure that our RMU Mentors (adults and teens alike) complete RoleModels University
    Mentorship Periodic Inspections to ensure quality mentorship/mentee relationships.
  • After the application/background and training process; each RMU mentor is given the
    title: RoleModel.
